Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with the SEO score when using stop words, changing the order, singular, plural, and other variations around the keyword. I understand that it can be challenging to balance optimization with natural-sounding content.
When it comes to dealing with a low SEO score due to these variations, it’s important to remember that the recommendations provided by Rank Math are based on best practices and guidelines. However, it’s crucial to prioritize the user experience and ensure that your content reads naturally.
While Rank Math does consider variations of keywords, including stop words, changed order, singular, plural, and other related words, it’s also important to use your judgment to ensure that the content remains natural and engaging for your readers.
At this time, Rank Math does not have a specific feature to adjust the score count based on variations of the keyphrase. However, the development team is continuously working on improving the plugin, and your feedback is valuable. I’ll make sure to pass on your suggestion to our development team for consideration in future updates.
If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please feel free to ask. Thank you for reaching out!

Thank you so much for your answer.
You indicate that Rankmath takes different variations in account, that´s probaly only for the English language or not?
I write in Dutch (Netherlands) language, and then it does not as far as I noticed.
Or can I get that also for my language activated?
Thanks again.
Hello,
We apologize for the confusion. At the moment Rank Math’s Content Analysis tool does not detect variation and is purely focused on Technical SEO. The Content AI feature is better suited for this.
A natural flow of your content trumps any strict adherence to technical guidelines, as your content is written for humans and should appeal to humans/users for you to achieve your SEO objectives.
So feel free to ignore a technical SEO suggestion where it does not align with your use case.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
Thank you, Ike, I will ignore it then.
But that does mean that for people that follow the content analysis tool there is a big risk of using the keyphrase to many times? Or do you already have a statistic diversion calculated in the tool for this?
Because otherewise when variations are not counted by the content analyses tool, and you follow it´s suggestions by adding additional exact match keyphrases, you could end up with far more keyphrases in total (according to Google and Bing).
Hello,
Yes, you’re correct in your understanding.
Strictly following the content analysis tool’s suggestions for exact match keyphrases can sometimes lead to over-optimization, which is not favored by search engines like Google and Bing.
It’s always advisable to maintain a natural flow in your content.
While Rank Math provides guidelines, it’s important to balance these with quality, readable content for your users.
We’re continuously working to improve our analysis to better recognize variations and prevent issues of keyword stuffing.
Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll keep it in mind for future updates.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
