    Hi there,

I am a rank math user.
Pls note that I got error from google that my homepage is having redirect and its can not be indexed.

    Pls advise with solution.

message is sending referring to link. Content as below
    Page with redirect
This is a non-canonical URL that redirects to another page. As such, this URL will not be indexed. The target URL of the redirect might or might not be indexed, depending on what Google thinks about that target URL.

A canonical URL with a redirect can be indexed.

If you view this URL in the URL Inspection report, the indexed information applies to the tested URL (ignoring any redirects). To see the index status of the canonical URL associated with this URL (the URL that is in the Google Index), click the INSPECT button in the Page indexing > Indexing section of the report.

The live URL Inspection test follows redirects and then tests the final URL, although the live test doesn’t indicate that it is following a redirect.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with your homepage not being indexed due to a redirect error. This error message usually occurs when Google detects a non-canonical URL that redirects to another page, preventing the URL from being indexed.

To resolve this issue, you need to ensure that your homepage URL is set as the canonical URL without any redirects. Here are the steps to follow:

    1. Check the canonical URL setting in Rank Math:

      • Go to your WordPress dashboard and edit the homepage using Rank Math.
      • Look for the Canonical URL field under the Advanced Settings.
      • Make sure the canonical URL is set to your homepage URL without any redirects.
    2. Verify the index status in Google Search Console:

      • Use the URL Inspection Tool in Google Search Console to check the index status of your homepage.
      • Ensure that the indexed information applies to the tested URL without considering any redirects.

    Hello,

The redirect is actually happening since your website is set without WWW.

Since it’s not a faulty redirection, then you can simply ignore it as it redirects correctly to your site’s version (without WWW).

If you want to fix it, you can inspect the WWW version of your site using the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to check the referring page where it is coming from.

Once you know the referring page, you can remove or update it so Google won’t discover that URL version.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

The “No referring sitemaps detected” message does not indicate an error and is nothing to worry about. Google displays the “No referring sitemaps detected” message when it discovers your URL through means other than the sitemap. For example, Google can find your URL through backlinks.

You can refer to this guide for reference: https://rankmath.com/kb/no-referring-sitemaps-detected/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
