    Hi there
Firts of all before i start id like to say that perhaps im doing something wrong on my side but i have checked and double checked and still i cannot find the problem.

    1. on my product page, rank math says that I did not use my focus keyword at the beginning of my content. My focus keyword is Solar watering systems, and i dont underdstand because i have used this here is an exerpt of my content at the beginning.
Solar Watering System Irrigatia Sol C12 Solar Irrigation System
Water Your Garden Easily With Our Water Butt Solar Watering System
With the Irrigatia Sol C12 solar watering system, you can bid farewell to manual watering. This solar-powered irrigation system harnesses the sun’s energy, ensuring a sustainable and uninterrupted supply of water for your plants.

    2. Its saying i have no external links – does a youtube video count thats embedded or should I provide a link to the actual video in order for this to be counted.

    3. It says at least one of my paragraphs is too long, but when i click on the little eye, then it doesnt highlight any text to show me which paragraphs are a problem, like in your guide.

    4. What is the highest score one can get when optimising a product page – specificaly if im not going to be linking to external resources as the highest im able to get without that is 77

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with Rank Math’s backend formula. Let’s address each of your concerns:

    1. Regarding the focus keyword not being at the beginning of your content, it’s important to note that Rank Math checks for the presence of the focus keyword in the first 10% of your product description. From the excerpt you’ve provided, it seems like the focus keyword “Solar watering systems” is present in the beginning. However, if you’re still encountering an issue, it would be best to ensure that the focus keyword is within the first 10% of your product description.

    2. For external links, embedded YouTube videos do count as external resources. If you have embedded a YouTube video, it should be counted as an external link. However, if you’re still encountering issues, please ensure that the YouTube video is correctly embedded and accessible.

    3. The issue with identifying long paragraphs can sometimes occur due to formatting differences. If clicking on the eye icon doesn’t highlight any text, it might be due to a formatting discrepancy. I recommend checking for any formatting issues within your content and ensuring that paragraphs are properly separated.

    4. The highest score achievable when optimizing a product page can vary based on multiple factors. However, without linking to external resources, the highest score achievable is typically around 77, as you’ve mentioned.

If you continue to experience issues after checking these points, please feel free to assign this ticket to a human agent for further assistance.

Thank you for raising these concerns, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these issues together.

hi guys so im fairly posetive that my keyword is within the first 10% of my content its in my heading subheading and first sentence paragraph right at the start
Regarding you tube video – im not sure why its not showing as external content as it is embedded and visible
With regards to clicking the eye and it not showing me which paragraphs are to long – the answer your rank bot gave really doesnt make sense

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    1. Our plugin will check the exact keyword in the product description and at the moment, there’s no exact keyword at the beginning of the product description:

    Rank Math support

    2. Our plugin only considers an external link if it’s wrapped with the anchor tag (<a href=""></a>), since youtube link is not added that way, our plugin will not be able to count it as an external link.

    3. I checked the SEO test on my end and I can’t seem to find the long paragraph error:

Can you please try saving your product page again without changing anything and see if the SEO test is updated?

    4. The highest is basically 100 and linking external sources does affect the scoring. However, if linking to other external sources is not applicable to your page, then you can ignore that.

None of these tests is a must for search engines to rank your content. These are just best practices that would help to ensure that your post/page performs better and should not be followed religiously.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Jeremy
Thank you for your feedback. I do have one question, though, regarding the keyword not being used right at the beginning. What you have shown me – the screenshot – thats from the long description section and that section the FAQ is at the bottom of the page – the content in question falls under the short description – all of my other products have been set up this way – meaning the focus keyword not showing – it is showing as its under my short description where the content begins and my h1 heading is.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

In this case, you can ignore that test as it analyzes the long description.

Please note that these tests are only there for your reference to help you optimize your pages/post content. If you feel any of them don’t apply to your page, please feel free to ignore them.

Search Engines are smart enough to understand your focus keywords appear at the beginning of your content as they check your website’s live version.

    Looking forward to helping you.
