Google Search Console error: Duplicate field “HowTo”

    I used the How-To schema block for two of my posts, but just got a Google Search Console alert that there’s an error on both posts: Duplicate field “HowTo”

    I have the latest version of Rank Math. I also tried to validate the fix in GSC, but it says the issue is still there.

    How do I resolve this?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You seem to have defined two HowTo’s on the same same page which I believe is causing the duplicate error. Please define each HowTo on its own page and let us know if the issue still persists.

    I checked both of my posts in HTML view, but I’m not seeing where HowTo is duplicated. Could you kindly point me to where the instances of duplicate fields are? Thank you.

    Hello,

    It seems like the other plugin you are using is also adding the Schema Markup.

    We tested using the following tool:
    https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/

    We have added the sentence that you can search in the content where the other HowTo Schema is added.

    You can remove the one you are not using and then test the link again using Google’s testing tool.
