Google adding ” ‘s ” to end of page title.

Google is adding a possessive ” ‘s ” to the end of some of my webpage titles when using the Google Search function.

I have followed all of the steps outlined here, and everything is as it should be. My page’s tags are all %seo_title%, %seo_description%, etc., and when analyzing the <title> tag of the Google Search result, the added possessive is nowhere to be found.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We checked your website and saw that the snippets you added for the post are also reflected in the Meta Tag Analyzer tool.

It means the changes made by you are taking effect.

Refer to the screenshot from the snippet editor preview from the post editor page :

Below is the screenshot taken from the Rank Math’s Meta Tag Analyzer Tool

However, the changes made by you still do not reflect in Google SERPs.

Google and other search engines often choose not to use the meta title and description you’ve set.

Here are some of the most common reasons Google might not use the meta description you’ve provided:

    – The meta description is not relevant or valuable or lacks quality (i.e., just a collection of keywords).

    – The same meta description is provided across a large number of pages.

    – The meta description doesn’t match what the user is searching for, but other content on the page does.

You can learn more about why “Google Shows A Different Meta Title/Description For My Site” here:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

We hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.
