Getting redirected to home page when I search something after enabling Rank Math

    Hi there,

    When I enabled Rank Math my tags stopped working, normally when clicked to tag it takes to search (/search?=…) but now after activating Rank Math it takes to home page.

    I did troubleshooting, I can’t really test without SearchWP plugin so when I enable that tags come in and it works correctly and when I enable Rank Math it stops working.

    Redirections are turned off

    Could you please share a sample affected URL so we can check and investigate it?

    Meanwhile, head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages > Date Archives and enable it. This option disables your date archive and redirects them to your homepage, so you can try enabling that option.

    I have added the page where the tags take to home pgae as sensitive data

    and enabling data archives did not work.

    The URL you have shared is opening fine. Also, Rank Math is currently enabled as seen in the page’s source code.

    Added an example redirecting url
    /articles do not redirect but the tags in that page do and I provided an example for that

    Hey,
    1 thing I noticed is that if you do /search/?s=something it works, but if you do /search/?s=&something it takes to home page. & means it’s a tag, but just s= is for search

    I reset .htaccess file in rank math settings and it started working. Even though current and previous .htaccess files are same. Why do you think it started working? I have touched anything in .htaccess

    Hello,

    Your previous .htaccess must have contained rules to disable those search results on your site.

    You should check your .htaccess file in your web host to ensure that is not modified from one of your plugins or active theme.
