GA4 Gone wrong?

    Hi. I just tried to set up GA4. I think something may have gone wrong.

    The SetUp screen gives – SuziQ – as the account name. Should this not be the Site name with existing Universal Anlytics thing.

    It also gives – fertile-ground.com GA4 – without any number after it as the property.

    This may be what’s supposed to happen, though I doubt it, and I’m V nervous!

    Can you guide me?

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    When you connect your Google account to our plugin and approve the permissions, all the accounts available will be listed from the Google Analytics dashboard.

    You can go ahead and choose the desired account and the property. Here’s a quick guide for you to follow to setup GA4: https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/#ga4-property

    Hi Jeremy. Thank you for your speedy reply to my query. Being Easter yesterday (hope you had a lovely one!) I’ve only just been checking it out.

    Google analytics is showing a GA4 account for fertile-ground.com.

    The RankMath general settings>analytics screen shows the property as fertile-ground GA4 (but without id number)

    The Account, Property and Data stream options on that screen are greyed out.

    Can you confirm this indicates that RankMath is now connected to GA4?

    Should I be clicking the reconnect option at the top of the screen, as this is showing in yellow?

    As you can see, I’m a real novice!

    Would you please reconnect to Google services giving all the required permissions.

    Once all the connections are done properly, the grey dot beside Search Console turns green.
