Fairly complex question! regarding Article schema and pages (not posts)

Hi, I want to use Blog schema on pages, or I atleast want to achieve a similar hard silo permalink URL as dollarsprout.com (This means I must use pages, not posts – fake example: mycool1financeblog.com/apps/paymentapps/paypal)

Would changing my pages to “Blog post” schema be appropriate here (It’s currently set to “article” and doesn’t let me assign a author, which is important for me)? The site is currently using posts and I guess im going to keep my posts as the yare and begin using pages.

Curious if any of this sounds off ^ and if Rankmath has any advice (I’d be willing to pay for the proper answer, just nobody knows! – so I figured I’d go straight to the expert)

I truly appreciate your time and concern and hope you can help!

    Paul

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

It doesn’t make any difference as Article and Blogpost schemas are essentially the same in terms of SEO.

The only difference is the specificity of the Schema type, but they both are essentially Article Schema and are eligible for the same Rich Results.

Regarding the author URL, Rank Math adds the author URL to Article Schema automatically if the author archives are enabled.

Here’s a link for more information and steps you can follow:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/article-schema/#add-author-url

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
