    Hello dear,

I’ve tried to export SEO data for posts, terms, and users in a CSV file and the file wasn’t good for me compared with another competitor for 2 reasons:
    in the generated CSV file
1- the [object_type] column: this column contains an object type called [post] which gathers all the post types on the website like posts/pages/products .. that means that columns contain post types.
can we rename or filter this post types to be post/product/page instead of calling it all as post?
this modification will be very helpful to SEO analytics, Specially when this file is used for the same purpose.
2- the [slug] column which contains slugs for posts/products/pages: this is only slug, it should be a full permalink/URL for the post/product/page, so we can reach it easily without searching/copying/pasting this slug.
3- This generated file must contain the GTIN and SKU columns if it is on a product.

Kindly let me know if I can modify this file before generating it like this.
and also let me know if you can modify these customizations for PRO users.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience you faced while exporting the SEO data for posts, terms, and users in a CSV file. Currently, the exported CSV file contains the [object_type] column with the object type called [post], which gathers all the post types on the website like posts/pages/products. We understand your need to rename or filter this post types to be post/product/page instead of calling it all as post. Additionally, you mentioned that the [slug] column should contain the full permalink/URL for the post/product/page, and the file must contain the GTIN and SKU columns if it is on a product.

At the moment, it is not possible to modify these customizations before generating the file. However, we appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of these modifications for SEO analytics. We will consider your suggestions for future updates to our CSV export feature.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for your patience and for sharing the Rank Math PRO email address.

    1. We had discussed this before internally and decided not to change this column upon exporting the metadata via CSV. The column only returns object types like post, comment, term, user, and not post types.

As we have advised before, you may need a plugin like WP All Export to create a file that contains post-type information.

    2. As the column mentions, it is only the slug of the post. The CSV file cannot be used to modify your website permalinks due to that reason. Also, our CSV contains metadata, and the URL structure is not handled in the CSV export.

    3. Please note that GTIN and SKU are not SEO meta values, which is why they are not exported just as the post content and images are not exported.

Moreover, you can use the said tool to further customize your posts since Rank Math’s CSV feature is for metadata only.

    Looking forward to helping you.
