Emergency! Featured images not showing up on any social platforms!

    Hi,

    For some reason, NO featured images are appearing on any social media platforms today.

    The FB:OG image is showing us this in every wordpress post:

    <meta property=”og:image:type” content=”image/jpeg” />

    I checked the image size on every article and they’re all big enough to display the featured images. I checked debug tool on FB for other sites, like shopify stores and other non-wordpress sites – they all work fine.

    Something is up.

    Please issue a quick fix because we’re all losing traffic today.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    We checked the websites you shared in the sensitive data section and we can see that the OpenGraph metadata is correct and even the Facebook Sharing Debugger is fetching the correct image but it’s getting an error when trying to load the image.

    Please note that this is a worldwide error and even our website is currently facing this on Facebook, so given that pretty much all websites are facing this issue it seems that Facebook is having issues with parsing the imagery from websites today.

    We would recommend keeping an eye on the Sharing Debugger and trying to check the website pages frequently to see when this issue gets resolved: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    Things seem fine on Twitter, it’s just Facebook. However, there’s a lot of websites that are working just fine.
