I had purchased a domain (techacross.com).Crafted a handful of fresh articles, and set them up on a cloud server. However, my attempt to index the site through the search console hit a roadblock with an error message: “Failed: Hostload Exceeded Search Console.” On a brighter note, I employed https://pagespeed.web.dev/ to evaluate the performance, and the outcomes were favorable.

I’m seeking guidance on the next steps to tackle this situation.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support. We’re sorry to hear that you’re having trouble indexing your site through the search console. We know how annoying it can be when things don’t work as expected.

The error message “Failed: Hostload Exceeded Search Console” means your site is at maximum capacity for Google crawling or inspection requests. Google can’t run tests until your traffic load (as estimated by Google) drops. This usually happens when Google detects a lot of failed requests from your site, which could indicate spammy or malicious behavior. Another possibility is that your server is overloaded and can’t handle the traffic from Google. This prevents Google from crawling or testing your site properly.

To fix this error, you can try the following steps:

    • The best place to start is to reach out to your host and ask them to check if there is any unusual activity on your server or if your bandwidth is sufficient for your traffic. Since you are using a cloud server, you may be able to do this yourself as well.
    • You should also scan your site for any malware or security issues and remove them as soon as possible. You can use the Sucuri plugin to help you with this.
    • Check your site for any broken links and fix them or remove them from your sitemap. You can use our 404 Monitor tool to keep track of requests that failed due to 404 errors.
    • Reduce the frequency of your sitemap updates and submissions to Google. You can do this by changing the settings in Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General > Ping Search Engines. Turning this off is especially useful if you have a lot of posts or edit your post often and your server is not sufficient for the constant crawling
    • Lastly, this error is temporary, you could wait for Google to reattempt crawling your site to see if the error persists. This may take some time depending on the severity of the issue.

Please note that server errors can be transient, and so you might encounter server errors during a live test that won’t occur during crawling or vice versa.

For more information on how to fix this error, please refer to these guides:

We hope this helps you solve the problem. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know. We’re always happy to help.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math!

This is a new domain and just I added in the hosting and install WordPress, so malware or security issues can’t be there.
And I am using cloud server of Hostinger RAM 6 GB, with 4 core so issue of overload can’t be there!

The site is indexed in Bing (https://www.bing.com/search?q=%22https%3A%2F%2Ftechacross.com%2F%22&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&lq=0&pq=%22https%3A%2F%2Ftechacross.com%2Fnetflix-error-code-s7361-1253%2F%22&sc=0-55&sk=&cvid=1E3D6507EAB74A449B963E5A8A0EF944&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=&ntref=1)

Issue of “Failed: Hostload Exceeded Search Console.” is still there, I don’t found solution anywhere, See this too: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/229303390/purchased-a-new-domain-hosted-in-cloud-server-but-search-console-showing-failed-hostload-exceeded

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us. We’re sorry to hear that you’re still having trouble with your site’s indexing on Google.

We want to help you as much as we can, but unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do about this as this is not caused or related to Rank Math. Since the issue is related to your host, we would suggest speaking with Hostinger as they’ll be in a better position to help with this.

You might want to ask them why Google is having difficulty crawling your site. Maybe they have some settings that are blocking Google’s requests or limiting your server’s capacity. They might be able to give you some tips on how to solve this problem.

We hope you can get this resolved soon. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. We’re always happy to help. Have a great day!
