Disable Rankmath modules from my site

    Rank Math free

I am using Squirlly SEO plugin
I earlier had Rankmath installed and have created some meta information for my posts in Rankmath.
I had also done some settings in the Rankmath plugin

Now I wish to use Squirrly and am entering all meta details in Squirrly

I wish to transfer my meta info ( titles, description, etc ) of my earlier posts to Squirly.

I want to ensure that the data that I have entered in Squirrly DOES NOT get over-written

Further I am using the Breadcrumb shortcode from Rankmath in my site post template, which I find that Squirlly does not have.

So I have to continue to keep the Rankmath plugin active

However I dont want any duplication or increased load on my site due to both plugins being active.

I am not sure if having both plugins will work against my site SEO

Please guide me how to set up things

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your query about managing Rank Math and Squirlly SEO plugins on your website. It’s essential to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any negative impact on your site’s SEO.

To address your concerns and set up things correctly, here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Disable Rank Math Modules:
Since you want to use Squirlly for managing your SEO, you can disable specific Rank Math modules to prevent any conflicts or duplication of meta information. To do this, go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Rank Math > Dashboard > Modules. Here, you can deactivate the modules that you no longer wish to use.

    2. Transfer Meta Information to Squirlly:
To transfer the meta information (titles, descriptions, etc.) from Rank Math to Squirlly, you can manually copy this data from Rank Math and paste it into the corresponding fields in Squirlly while editing your posts.

    3. Keep Rank Math Active for Breadcrumb Shortcode:
If you need to continue using the Breadcrumb shortcode from Rank Math, you can keep the plugin active. Ensure that only the necessary modules are enabled to reduce any potential load on your site.

    4. Avoiding SEO Conflicts:
It’s generally recommended to have only one SEO plugin active to prevent conflicts and ensure optimal performance. However, if you need to use both plugins for specific functionalities, make sure they complement each other without overlapping tasks.

    5. Final Recommendations:

      • Disable unnecessary Rank Math modules.
      • Transfer meta information manually to Squirlly.
      • Keep Rank Math active for the Breadcrumb shortcode.
      • Monitor your site’s performance and SEO rankings after making these changes to ensure everything is working as expected.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.

Please note that it is not recommended to use a duplicate SEO plugin as it can create conflicts and affect your SEO. If you want to use the Squirrly SEO plugin, we would suggest you deactivate the Rank Math plugin from your website.

For the breadcrumbs, you can use any other plugin for that.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Thanks for your helpful replies

I am not sure what information I have put in the Rankmath plugin so I am scared to remove it.

How do I check what all I have put in Rankmath so I can have a look and make sure to copy it over ( I feel that meta info is the main stuff ).

Regarding the Breadcrumb alternatives, can you suggest something? I need to put the shortcode into my post templates and dynamically pull the information
