Counting of content words

    Hello,

    I found out that the counting of content words works in half. On the main page of my web I have some texts in blocks, that are not visible (they have set CSS display: none) on the first page load. They apear onely if visitor click on certain button. Unfortunately, these hidden block texts do not count towards the total number of words. And it makes huge difference in count of words on site.
    However, keywords from hidden blocks are loaded into Keyword Density.
    It makes no sense for Keyword Density to work with hidden texts, but did not counting them into the total number of words.
    Is it possible to include also hidden texts in the total number of words?

    Hi Martin,

    I checked your homepage and the info is more or less consistent with what I am seeing on the frontend. Almost 1200 words when I check the frontend – same as reported by Rank Math.

    ~17 instances on your front page and some of them in the header/footer. Rank Math is reporting 12 in the content which is more or less the same as you see on the frontend in the content area.

    Try to count words throught Elementor’s editor. On the frontend, there ae some blocks hidden by display:none CSS and they are visible only after clicking on the certain buttons (e.g. sections under the buttons in “ŘeÅ¡ení pro každého” section). If you count all the words include the hidden, It will be around the 2000 words. I wrote it above…

    I see that and that is normal for Rank Math to do.

    You said the focus keyword is still counted even though the hidden content isn’t? Where can I check that?

    P.S: I would recommend not to make your content hidden using CSS. This is strictly against Google ToS and might get you penalized. It is okay for a few low-content sections here and there but hiding ~800 words using CSS is big no-no.

    Hello, ok. Thank you for info. It is possible to see it for example in the “Klenotnictví” section. It is onload hidden section, and is vissible only after you click on the button. There is a keyword “part2print”. If you delete it, keywords density will change.

    I have one question – do you have any suggestion, how to hide content some way that is not against Google rules?

    Hello, I used HTML hidden attribute (acording this manual https://allyjs.io/tutorials/hiding-elements.html). Can it be solutions for Google rules and for yours counting of the words?
