Content AI Word Count Wrong

    Hello,

    The Content AI is incorrectly counting the number of words on my page for Switzerland.

    According to https://wordcounter.net/website-word-count I have 1278 words on https://pinsa-romana.ch/. However Content AI only counts 316.

    Weirder still, is yesterday when I ran Content AI for Switzerland, word count was 369 but it was within the limit and coloured Green.

    Why did I have a content AI ranking for Switzerland at 69 yesterday, and today a ranking of 23 today?

    Please help.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    Please note that our plugin will only count the words inside the post content while the word counter tool you shared seems to be counting everything including the menu and footer.

    However, I checked your website and the word count shouldn’t be 316.

    Can you please confirm if you are inserting Elementor templates on your homepage? We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Hello,

    The issue is indeed coming from our plugin not being able to properly read the contents from Smart Slider. This is an intended behavior as our plugin is not compatible to all custom blocks/elements by default.

    In this case, you can simply ignore the test or you can get in touch with the support from Smart Slider and ask them to integrate our content analysis API in their blocks so our plugin can detect the content from those blocks/elements: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

    Hi Jeremy,

    I gathered this was the problem.

    Before I ask the people at Smart Slider to look into this, can you recommend a similar WP plugin I could use that is compatible with Rank Math? I would like to get the full benefit of Rank Math without limiting my site design, Otherwise, I have to look at alternatives to Rank Maths as I doubrt Smart Slider will turn this around quickly.

    We didn’t test for compatibility with any of them yet. However, we have seen many of our users use a few of them commonly.

    You may try using them and decide whether you should continue using them.

    So, Rank Math has been running but I have no data showing in the Analytic Tab.

    Should the data not appear after one day?

    Hello,

    Your GSC account was not connected with our plugin. I connected it and some stats are present in our analytics dashboard now:

    However, it seems like your site doesn’t have a lot of data in your GSC account. Please wait for your site to get some organic data and it will be fetched by our plugin automatically.
