I’m having trouble with the ‘Connect Google Services’ button in Analytics. It’s not responding. Can you please tell me what to do?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Once you have clicked the button, it should show the email addresses saved in your browser like in our guide here:
https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/#num-2-connect-your-rank-math-accountHowever, if it’s not responding after clicking it, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you’re using the latest version of Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/changelog/free/
2. Please check if you have any extension that could block the process upon connecting your site. You can try connecting using Incognito mode (Google Chrome) or different browsers.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
I have tried all the methods mentioned above, but I still cannot connect to Google services. Nothing happens when I click the “Connect Google Services” button.
Hello,
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), this could be caused by conflicting plugins/theme on your site.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Upon checking your site, it seems that you’re using a multisite setup.
The correct way to use our plugin on a multisite setup is to install it on the network but only activate it on specific subsites.
If you have activated it on the network, please deactivate it on the network and then activate it on the subsites.
Please refer to this guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/installing-rank-math-on-a-multisite-environment/#free-version-sub-siteOnce done, connect the site to your Rank Math account and proceed with the Google account connection.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Google account connection still not working. Please check it.
Hello,
I’ve checked your site again, but it seems to be working fine now. Please refer to the screencast attached in the sensitive data section.
Please try using a different internet browser or Incognito mode in Google Chrome.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
