Clarification on Schema Types for Design Assets and Blog Articles

    Hello there,

I’m a new user testing SEO plugins for my website and am currently in the process of setting up a website aimed at assisting users in finding the latest design UI kits, mockups, and assets available online, both free and premium. Our platform will provide direct download links to these products, wherever they’re accessible on the internet, alongside educational blog articles.

Given this, I’m seeking guidance on the appropriate schema types to apply for the design assets and blog articles we’ll be featuring. It’s worth noting that we’ll be categorizing everything – from design assets to blog articles – as posts on our website.

To provide some context, here are a few examples of similar platforms:

    1. [UI Store](https://www.uistore.design/)
    2. [UX Crush](https://www.uxcrush.com/)
    3. [Mockup Tree](https://mockuptree.com/)

Could you please advise on the most suitable schema types to use? The setup wizard mentions options such as Schema Type for Posts, Schema Type for Pages, and Schema Type for Content Blocks. And we are confused about which one to use and what type.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards,
    Varun

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and providing details about your website focusing on design assets and blog articles. To ensure proper schema markup for your content, here are the recommended schema types you can use:

    1. Design Assets (UI Kits, Mockups, etc.):

      • For the design assets you’ll be featuring on your website, you can consider using the Product Schema type. This schema type is suitable for individual products like UI kits, mockups, and other design assets that users can download directly from your platform.
    2. Blog Articles:

      • For the educational blog articles you’ll be publishing, the most appropriate schema type to use is the Article Schema. This schema type helps search engines understand the content of your articles, including the headline, published date, and primary image, enhancing their visibility in search results.

When setting up your website with Rank Math, you can configure the schema types as follows:

    • Use Article Schema for your blog articles.
    • For design assets like UI kits and mockups, consider using the Product Schema type.

If you encounter any issues or need further assistance while configuring these schema types, feel free to ask for help. Good luck with setting up your website!

    Best regards,
