  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your category sitemap. It seems like you’ve already taken several steps to resolve the issue, including excluding it from caching and adding the necessary rewrite rules to your .htaccess file.

If you’re still facing problems with your category sitemap not being created, I’d recommend checking if the category/tag/custom taxonomy archive pages have any posts attached. Empty archive pages with no posts attached are excluded by default, as they hold thin content.

To include these pages in your sitemap, navigate to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings and enable the Include Empty Terms option in your category/tag/custom taxonomy archive settings.

If you’re still encountering issues, please ensure that your sitemap is accessible using a tool like httpstatus.io. Enter your sitemap URL and check the status to identify any issues preventing your sitemap from being accessed by the Googlebot.

If the issue persists, please feel free to assign this ticket to a human agent for further assistance. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Actually, Rank math is not creating the category sitemap. All my categories have index tag and they have posts in them. My page and posts sitemap is working fine
