    Rank Math free

    Hello,
Haven’t been able to use it yet – on the page where it says Connect Account, nothing happens. It just reloads the page.
In console, we get it going to but then gets a 302 response and just reloads.

    Request URL:
    https://awsdev.federalnewsnetwork.com/wp-admin/admin-post.php
    Request Method:
    POST
    Status Code:
    302
    Remote Address:
    146.75.30.217:443
    Referrer Policy:
    strict-origin-when-cross-origin

    Here’s the payload sent:
    action: rank_math_save_registration
    step: register
    security: e1d80ba7bf
    _wp_http_referer: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-registration
    rank_math_activate:

    Any help resolving appreciated

Should also add, if I click “Skip Now” it just loads a blank page: /wp-admin/admin-post.php

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the Rank Math plugin. You may refer to our changelog page here: https://rankmath.com/changelog/

Then go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General, and make sure that the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” have the same setup.

Meaning both URLs have the same exact protocols. They should be matching and not have a mismatch.

    null

Now you will need to reconnect your website by heading over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard > Help, disconnect and reconnect your Rank Math account

    https://i.rankmath.com/ZvEfVb
    https://i.rankmath.com/OZSwOw

If the issue still persists, please add the following filter on your website and then reconnect to your account one more time:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#disable-domain-checking

Here is a guide you can follow to add the filter:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.

So I guess I’ll try adding the filter – I get ZERO options under RankMath in admin. I cannot go to Dashboard, or Analytics, or General Settings – there’s literally no options except the main RankMath link, which goes to the activate account page and does nothing.

Added the filter, deactivated almost all plugins except strictly necessary, and still the same result.
(Oh, and I have the latest version – using the free version to test things, but can’t seem to do a single things with it…)

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

We were able to debug the problem. In our systems, we have a custom role that oversees the ‘administrator’ role. However your plugin adds the ‘rank_math_<capability>’ capabilities only to users with ‘administrator’ role. We think that the plugin should add the capabilities based on user capabilities instead of role. For example, checking if the user has ‘activate_plugins’ capabilities would work for users with ‘administrator’ role and for users with roles that oversee the ‘administrator’ role.

    Hello,

We are glad that you are able to sort this out and thank you for sharing your debugging information about the issue you have experienced.

At the moment, our plugin will only work to its fullest if the user is the administrator. We don’t base the plugin’s accessibility based on capabilities but on roles.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
