Hello!
I’m sorry to hear that you are facing issues with getting the nofollow attribute to work for specific external links on your website. Thank you for providing detailed information about the problem you are experiencing.
Based on the information you provided, it seems like you have correctly added the domains “blogger.com” and “blogspot.com” to the Nofollow Domains section in Rank Math but are still seeing these links as dofollow.
To troubleshoot this issue, please ensure the following:
-
Nofollow External Links Setting: Make sure that the “Nofollow External Links” option is enabled in Rank Math. This setting needs to be enabled for the Nofollow Domains feature to work correctly.
-
Variations of Domain URL: As mentioned in our documentation, domain URLs can have multiple variations. Ensure that you have added all possible variations of “blogger.com” and “blogspot.com” to the Nofollow Domains section.
-
Save Changes: After adding the domains, remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Save Changes” button to apply the settings.
If after checking these points, the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting support.
Are those links added to the actual content of the posts/pages on your WordPress website? Please note that this won’t work for links that are added in other areas such as the sidebar, footer, header, and/or menus.
If you do have them in the content, please share a couple of example pages where they are not showing nofollow
so we can check.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. I don’t think I explained myself clearly, I’m sorry.
I was referring to blog rolls on other websites…they have my site listed in their blogroll with a dofollow link, which is making for a very large amount of dofollow backlinks for my site. I’d like to change these backlinks to nofollow using the Nofollow Domains section. Is this possible?
Thanks again!
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately, our feature only works on your site’s content.
In this case, we recommend informing the site owner to set your URLs to nofollow as our option cannot control any other URLs aside from its own installation.
Looking forward to helping you.
