Caching on Sitemap

    Hi there,

    I encountered an issue on profootballnetwork.com/news-sitemap.xml where the content displayed was only from September 7th or earlier. To resolve this, I made adjustments to the sitemap settings by clearing the sitemap cache. After implementing these changes, the page began functioning correctly.

    I’m interested in reducing the cache time for our sitemaps to minimize delays in updates. Could you please provide guidance on how to adjust the cache settings for our sitemaps? Your assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Apologies as the previous reply is not from our support team.

    If flushing the cache works on your site, then one of your plugins or server cache is still doing it on your sitemaps.

    In this case, you may need to exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    You can also get in touch with your web host to exclude your sitemap from their caching system.
