SOLVED!
There is a conflict with the “Real Media Library” plugin (custom categories/folds in the library). It magically blocks fields for editing. After deactivating RM works well.

The next problem appears lol )
1. when i try to edit ALT texts in a “bulk mode” — the field becomes empty (early ALTs disapper and are not edited. Only new value can be put in).
3. …than i save a new ALT — and it appears in the field correctly.
4. But when i refresh the page — early ALT text replace new one.

1. I deactivated all plugins besides RM to check the compatibility. Nothing changes.
2. I ‘ve created a new local site with absolutely clear WP installation (=new DB, up-to-date version from the official site 5.4) for testing. Added some photos and activated just one plugin RM.
