Author URL’s changed after installing Rank Math

    Hi,

    My website is using Rank Math for about a month now and i’ve noticed an increase in 404 pages. That’s because the URL’s of my Authors have changed since i’ve installed Rank Math. Before installing my authors had different urls like:

    festifeed.com/user/username
    festifeed.com/artist/artistname
    festifeed.com/organizer/organizername

    now:

    festifeed.com/author/username
    festifeed.com/author/organizername
    festifeed.com/author/artistname

    Could you help me get this back to the original situation? There’s some artists/organizers that use the link to redirect to the website.

    Hi,

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You can change the author URL base from your WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Autor:

    However, the base you’ll use there will be included in all of your author pages.

    Hello,

    I’ve found how to change the author url but that’s changing all of the author urls like you said. Is there anything i could do to disable Rank Math for the Authors? because when i deactivate the urls are like they should be with the right author urls.

    Hello,

    Please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Authors, disable the Author Archives, and see if it resolves the issue.

    If the author pages don’t work after that, please share the name of the plugin you are using to change the base of the user profiles so we can check and assist you further.

    That’s resulting in not working author pages, i’ve no idea what plugin is used for changing the base of user profiles. If I could share some admin credentials and you could check that that would be awesome, let me know if that’s possible

    I have set the author base as / in our plugin’s settings, and now the user profile has your default author base in the URLs:
