Hello, we’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with 301 redirects in your sitemap.xml files. To confirm if this is true, you can check the sitemap.xml file directly by opening it in a web browser or using a text editor. Look for any URLs that are listed as redirects.
If you find any URLs listed as redirects in the sitemap.xml file, you can remove them by identifying the source URL and updating it to the correct destination URL. Once you’ve made the necessary changes, you can resubmit the updated sitemap to Google Search Console to ensure that the correct URLs are indexed.
If you need further assistance with this, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly from here, and we’re always here to help.

Hi I have this problem too. The sitemap has both the old and the new URLs for 301 redirects. Why does it include the old URL?
I have read all the support docs. How can I exclude the old URLs. I need just the new ones in the sitemap.
Hello,
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Please note that the sitemap will not remove redirected URLs that are still available in the WordPress backend.
You can either completely delete/unpublish those pages, or set them to noindex and they will be removed from the sitemap.
Looking forward to helping you.
