Advanced tab is gone! Canonical fail!

    I have a process where I duplicate a product and make some changes. ie. Duplicate a red dress and then edit the word red to yellow, and change images etc. It saves a lot of time. There was always this one problem – the canonical URL would always be from the first product that was used to create the others with. You could say start with say the red dress and make a dozen new products – and they would all have the red URL as being canonical. The only way to avoid this huge No-No for SEO is to use the advanced tab for every duplicated product and set the correct canonical URL.
    Except one thing happened with the latest update – it (the advanced tab and the ability to set Canonical URL has gone!)
    Can I please have a quick fix or some advice as this is a showstopper.

    I have another site and I updated rank math and no issues. It pretty much uses the same theme and plugins so it is a real mystery as to why this should occur on just one site. I also notice that the rank math plugin had deactivated itself. Activating it had no effect.

    And I solved it! There’s an ‘Advanced mode’ which was toggled off – by the update.
