Adding custom code for additional Meta Descriptions and Meta Titles

Hi, I noticed I am unable to change the meta description, title, and overall SEO on a particular page on the website. It technically isn’t a page created on the WordPress website, but an “Endpoint” or a “Feed URL link” created by another plugin called “The Events Calendar” plugin to provide information about events. This is in regard to an event management business website.

Here is a link to the information regarding adding meta descriptions, titles, and SEO to that particular part of the website.
    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-can-i-insert-meta-description-and-meta-title/

It suggests that I reach out to Rank Math to see how to add additional code to the website to create a way to add additional ways of improving SEO.

What is it that I need to do so that I can make Rank Math work with this other plugin or implement a way to edit the SEO appearing on that page of the website, and how do I implement it?

    Let me know, thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and we are sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.

Do you mean each individual event page? It seems to be working fine when we tested it:

If you are talking about a different page, let us know how we can access that page so we can check.

    Hi Uzair,

That’s good to know that the individual pages can be adjusted. Though can the main page of the events calendar be edited as well? With all SEO features – titles, meta, schema, keywords, etc.

I also received a error message from Google Search Console that says that the events calendar pages are missing – Missing field “eventStatus”, how can this be fixed on all of the events pages? I noticed on one of the pages it was on, set to scheduled. Is it not working properly? Is it supposed to be set to something different?

    Let me know, thanks!

    Hello,

The event calendar listing page is a dynamic page so you can’t edit that page from the Rank Math SEO meta box. However, you can change some settings of that page from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Events.

Regarding the Schema, I checked your page with Google’s Rich Results Test and I can see that the Events Schema is not coming from the Rank Math plugin. Seems like the Events Calendar plugin you’re using is generating the Events Schema for that page. All the Schema from our plugin goes inside a script tag with the class rank-math-schema. Please refer to the screenshot in the sensitive data section.

As these Schema is getting added by that plugin, so I would like to suggest you to get in touch with The Events Calendar plugin support as they will be in a better position to help you with this.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
