Add category in url slug for new posts without changing permalink structure

    Dear Team,

    I am using the “Post name” structure in permalinks. Now I want to add “category” in the slugs for upcoming posts.

    Is there a way out to do that without changing the permalink structure because changing the permalink structure may affect the SEO for existing posts?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Please note that if you are able to set a proper redirection after changing the permalink structure, it doesn’t affect your SEO.

    However, if you don’t want to change the permalink structure but want to add the category slug on your post URL then you’ll have to use any external plugin as it is not possible to do in Rank Math.

    You can use a plugin like Permalink Manager Lite to change the permalinks of your website.
