    Hi there,

    I have a blog website and I changed the URLs of some of my blog posts recently. My old URLs are indexed in Google. I have used 301 redirection for the old URLs to the new URLs. Now should I again request indexing my new URLs to Google Search Console? Another thing is, do I need to do anything else in this scenario?

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    As you’ve already did the 301 redirection which is the best move. So, the traffic will actually land up in the page. Now, as you’ve changed the slug, sitemap that’s generated by the Rank Math will also update. Please update the sitemap in GSC as well.

    If the sitemap doesn’t get updated then please follow the steps mentioned in this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-sitemap-issues/

    Hi, thanks for the answer. I had already submitted the sitemap to GCS. RankMath just updated the sitemap. Do I need to submit it again?

    Hello,

    Yes, you can resubmit your sitemap to your GSC. Remove the sitemaps from the Sitemap section and resubmit only the primary one (https://YOURWEBSITE.COM/sitemap_index.xml)
