about timezone and sitemap

    I am using WordPress CMS with awesome rankmath plugin. I had started my blog 2 years back. Right now I have “284” blog post in my rankmath sitemap. When I started my blog that time. I did mistake while selecting time zone for my blog. I live in India my time zone should be UTC+05:30, but I have selected there UTC-5:30 by mistake. Now I am getting wrong published time in my every blog post.

    Now my question is that if i make changes in time zone & correct it to UTC+05:30. In wordpress>> general setting>> Time zone setup. Will it create any problem for my all blog post ranking in Google search engine? Because after making changes in time zone. It will also automatically make changes in rank math “post sitemap” timing.

    You have nothing to worry about. The dates will remain as they are in the sitemap when you correct your time zone, but will get automatically updated whenever you edit any of the posts. This helps to keep things organized. And it won’t negatively impact your Google search results rankings.

    You mean if i change my site timezone to kolkata(for indian). It will not create any bad impact on sitemap. and my all post in google search console is also safe.

    AND

    After changing timezone all post time available in sitemap will remain as it is.

    Changing your website timezone will not have a negative impact on your SEO and the posts on your sitemap will remain the same.
