500 Internal Server Error after enabling automatic redirection on slug change

    I have included the error message I am receiving in ‘sensitive data’. Basically immediately after I enabled the setting to allow RankMath to handle redirects, my entire site was a 500 error.

    I tried disabling RankMath but the issue is still there.

    I also wonder where it is grabbing the server administrator email address from? That is not a real email or one I have ever used.

    Thanks a bunch for your help in advance. I will probably end up restoring from a backup but I’d still love to know what happened here.

    Edit: Since I’m here, is there any way to override one redirection with another? For example, I want a “Starts with” redirection as a sort of catch-all, but I have a page that starts with the same bit, but I want to redirect it to a different place, and I can’t figure out if that’s possible. The “exact match” seems to override the “starts with” in most cases, but doesn’t seem to in this particular case.

    This issue should now be resolved in the latest update v1.0.27.3.
    For your first question, it is likely that this email address belongs to your host.

    It is not possible to override this kind of redirection when it has already been assigned to other pages. I would suggest that you create a regex rule for the new page that you would like redirected to a different page.     I don’t understand what you mean by it is not possible. The system has to have some way of deciding between two rules if both match. It is working in most cases but not others. How does it decide which to follow?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

    What I mean is that this would not be the most efficient method of handling the redirections. It is recommended to create unique redirection rules that will not conflict with the existing rules.
    You can also modify the “Starts with” rule to a “Contains” operator to avoid the conflicts.
