bad links to search result pages

    Hi,

    For some strange reasons some people are building links to my site search results page even when such keyword doesn’t exist…

    /?s=KEYWORD

    And the links are always dofollow, there are hundreds of thousands of this.

    Please how do i stop this or block it? I believe this shit is impacting on my site performance, from the old domain now to the new one.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You can set all external links that appear on your pages to nofollow by navigating to Rank Math > General Settings > Links > No follow external links and enable this feature as shown below:

    Hi,

    These are LINKS FROM OTHER SITES to MINE, now instead of linking to page or post they are linking to my search results page with unknown keywords…

    what i want to know is if i can block them

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Unfortunately we do not have a native feature in the plugin that would help in this.
    You could however make use of some redirections to redirect these links or make use of a custom pre_get_posts filter to redirect search results that do not yield any results but this is not ideal.
