WPML and Rankmath redirect issue

Something strange is happening according to Google Search Console. There are a lot of pages that are not indexed because they have a redirect (product pages and others). I never had this issue with Yoast.
I am using WPML and Woocommerce and I see in some of the URL’s that the “/fr/” part of the slug is missing. This causes the URL to redirect to the homepage. This really seems like a big issue.
Some other URL’s are also shortened. I did not select the option to do this I think. Perhaps this is a temporary issue?

I am also getting all these WP-admin redirects in the logs that don’t really make sense to me:

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

We checked all the URLs in the screenshot you shared and found that truly they redirect to other pages, You can use this tool as well to verify that: https://httpstatus.io/:

The pagination pages with a query string in their URL are redirected by WordPress, while the others aside https://baniwafels.be/papieren-bestelformulier/ (redirected by WPML) are redirected by Rank Math. We suspect the Auto Post Redirect feature is enabled from WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Redirections → Auto Post Redirect. This feature automatically creates redirects when changing the URL (slug) of posts, pages, taxonomies, and CPTs. You can disable this feature.

To fix the redirect by WordPress, you may follow the steps in any of the guides below to stop WordPress from auto-correcting/guessing the URL:
    https://neliosoftware.com/blog/devtips-how-to-stop-wordpress-from-guessing-urls/
    https://typerocket.com/disable-wordpress-automatic-or-random-redirect-guessing-of-404s/

As regards the URLs in the 404 Monitor, please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor.

That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors. If so, then you can ask your hosting provider to increase the security of your site to block those bots.

You can fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.

Thank you for all the info. At the moment the “auto post redirect” setting was not active and I do not think it was at the time. I will monitor the situation a while and see if there are more issues
