Can’t remove tags Sitemap URL from Sitemap

    Hello !
    I am having an issue. I have not included the sitemaps of tags in my sitemap, but still, in the sitemap, the tag URL is showing. When clicked on, it redirects to a 404. Now I have to submit the sitemap to Google Search Console, and I don’t want this link to show up in my sitemap.

    I have disabled tags in the in the sitemap, deactivated and activated the plugin again, cleared the website cache, but still the problem is not solved.

    Kindly solve the issue.

    Could you please share your sitemap URL with us so that we can check the issue further for you?

    Meanwhile, please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
