Regarding the robots.txt, can you please confirm if any message is showing on the Rank Math > General Settings > Edit Robots.txt page? You can share a screenshot with us by using a tool like https://imgur.com/upload so that we can check this further for you.

Once you’re able to edit your robots.txt file, you can use the following rule there:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Sitemap: https://yoursite.com/sitemap_index.xml
Please make sure to replace yoursite.com with your domain name.
For the Sitemap, Rank Math automatically generates the sitemap of your website at /sitemap_index.xml location.

Essentially, you will need to remove the physical file from the root of your domain using cPanel file manager or FTP access.
