Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the missing field “mainEntity” in Google Search Console (GSC) notifications and the drop-down from the index. This error can impact the visibility of your pages in search results.
Based on the screenshots and information provided, it seems that the missing field “mainEntity” error is related to the Schema markup on the affected page: https://rankmath.com/support/.
To resolve this issue, you need to ensure that the Schema markup on the page includes the necessary fields, including “mainEntity.” Since you are using Rank Math and PublishPress Author, there might be a conflict or an issue with how the Schema is generated.
Here are the steps you can take to address this:
-
Check Schema Markup: Verify that the Schema markup on the affected page includes all required fields, including “mainEntity.” You can use tools like the Google Rich Results Test to validate the Schema.
-
Plugin/Theme Conflict: As mentioned in Rank Math’s documentation, conflicts with other Schema plugins or themes can cause issues. Ensure that there are no conflicts between Rank Math and PublishPress Author by following the steps outlined in this guide.
-
Contact Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue after checking the Schema markup and potential conflicts, I recommend reaching out to Rank Math’s support team for further assistance. You can contact them through their support page.
By addressing these steps, you should be able to fix the missing field “mainEntity” error and prevent your pages from being dropped from the index. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention, and we are here to help you further if needed.
If you have any more questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask.

2. {Sensitive data section – 6}Is it okay if I create a new author page with other plugins? Will it hamper my Google index process or cause traffic loss?
Hello,
You should get in touch with PublishPress Author’s support, as other users have also reported this issue to them, and they might already have a solution for this.
You can create an author page using another plugin. As long as the content is optimized and the correct Schema type is applied, it won’t have a negative effect on your site’s SEO.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to your update.
