Hello,
I apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with your product URLs on your WooCommerce website. It seems that some of your product URLs are not displaying the subcategory in the URL structure as expected.
Based on the behavior you described, where entering a URL with the subcategory automatically redirects to a URL without the subcategory, it appears that there might be a custom product redirection set up in Rank Math causing this issue.
To address this problem, you can follow these steps:
- Check the Rank Math settings related to product URLs and custom redirections.
- Verify if there are any specific rules or filters applied that might be affecting the URL structure.
- Disable any custom product redirection rules that might be causing the incomplete URLs for some products.
If you need assistance with disabling custom product redirection in Rank Math, you can refer to the guide on how to disable custom product redirection in Rank Math here.
If you encounter any difficulties or need further clarification, please feel free to provide more details or reply to this ticket.
Best regards.

Hello,
Could you please share the affected URL so we can check as well? You can add it in the sensitive data section
It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.
Meanwhile, please ensure that you have already selected the child category as the primary category of that product:

Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
You hadn’t selected the Product Categories as the Primary Taxonomy of the products in the Titles & Meta settings of our plugin. I have done it, and now you will have to select the subcategory as the primary category of the product to include both categories in the URL. You can check this guide to learn how to select a primary category: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-choose-a-primary-category/
I have done this for the product you shared, and now it has both categories in the URL.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi Jaideep,
thank you. It doesn’t work for me. When I mark “Elektrisch” as primary category and view the page, “elektrisch” is still not contained in the URL.
See my screencast (sensitive data).
In the first part of the screencast I show the product which you edited, where the URL now is correct – in the second part I show another product where I set “Elektrisch” as primary category – as you will see the URL does not change.
Could you please help me?
Hello,
I can check that the product you showed in the screencast already has the correct URL:
Using the subcategory as the Primary Category will update the URL. Please check on another product and let us know if the issue persists.
Looking forward to helping you.
