    Hello,

I own the website gosaigon.tours, and in some articles when I am using the Table of contents feature, RankMath does not detect and does not populate H2 and H3 headings for some articles.

Could you help me to resolve this issues?

    Thanks,

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with Rank Math’s Table of Contents feature on your website gosaigon.tours. If Rank Math is not detecting and populating H2 and H3 headings for some articles, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check the Table of Contents Block Settings:

      • Click on the Table of Contents block in the post/page editor.
      • Navigate to Block → Settings → EXCLUDE HEADINGS and ensure that you have not excluded any headings from appearing in the table.
      • Confirm that you have not excluded any higher-level headings that may be causing lower-level headings to disappear.
    2. Verify Heading Structure:

      • Ensure that your headings are properly structured in the content. Start with an H2 heading and then add H3 to H5 below it. This structure will help Rank Math populate the Table of Contents correctly.
    3. Monitor for Updates:

      • Our team is aware of a bug that may cause higher-level headings to disappear when lower-level headings are added before them. We are working on resolving this in a future update. You can monitor our changelog here for updates on this issue.

If the problem persists after following these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.

    Best regards,

Still not working, and also when I edit a post and go to the backend, the table of contents does not show headings like H2 and H3.

    Thanks,
    Adam
