SNIPPET NOT UPDATED

I have a question regarding the snippet.
I have duplicated a site, edited the site content and published it.

But I forgot to update my site snippet. If I go to facebook and post the site the “old” snippet is shown. Therefore I updated my snippet with the right picture and text.

But when I create a now post in facebook with this link, the old snippet is shown yet.

I´ve also cleared the cache (WP rocket plugin) for the site. But still the old snippet is shown.

What can I do to fix this?

    The site: https://www.marcoschober.de/wos-is-los-mit-mir/

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with the snippet not being updated when sharing your site on Facebook. Thank you for providing the link to your site.

To ensure that the updated snippet is reflected when sharing your site on Facebook, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Facebook Debugger: Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger tool to scrape the latest information from your site. Enter your site URL and click on “Debug.” This will force Facebook to fetch the latest metadata.

    2. Rescrape the URL: After using the debugger, click on the “Scrape Again” button to refresh the cache and fetch the latest information.

    3. Verify Open Graph Tags: Double-check that the Open Graph meta tags on your site are correctly set up. You can refer to our guide on using Open Graph Meta tags for assistance.

If after following these steps the issue persists, please try sharing the link again on Facebook after some time as it may take a while for the changes to reflect.

If the problem continues, feel free to reply here, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Hello,

Thank you for your query, and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

We checked the source code of the concerned page and upon checking we can confirm the following :

1 . og:description is Ein emotionaler Song für alle die Balladen über alles lieben.

2 . og:title is Die NEUE SINGLE von MARCO SCHOBER: Wos is los mit mir.

3 . description is Ein emotionaler Song für alle die Balladen über alles lieben. Jetzt gleich anhören auf allen gängigen Streaming- und Downloadportalen.

Please refer to the screenshot below :

We can see that there is a discrepency between the description and the og:description.

Could you please confirm what is the expected values for these meta datas so that we can identify this.

Alternatively we would suggest you to contact your hosting provider and ask them to clear the servel level caches if there exists any.
