Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the 404 errors on your website. It seems like you have URLs with unexpected parameters like /blank="_true"
, /1000
, or //1000
at the end of the URLs, and you are unsure where these URLs originated from.
To address this issue and fix the 404 errors, you can follow these steps:
-
Identify the Source: To find out where these URLs are coming from, you can use tools like Google Analytics reports, Google Search Console, or crawling tools to track down the referring pages or sources of these URLs.
-
Fixing the Errors: Once you have identified the source of these URLs, you can either redirect them to the correct URLs or remove them entirely from your website.
-
Using Rank Math: If you have Rank Math installed, you can utilize the 404 Monitor module to track and manage these errors efficiently. You can enable the 404 Monitor module in Rank Math SEO Dashboard to handle and fix these errors effectively.
If you need further assistance in identifying the source of these URLs or fixing the 404 errors, please provide more details or screenshots if available, and we will be happy to assist you further.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.
You can use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to check the URL and view the referring page to make sure from where it is coming.
Once you know the referring page, you can unlink or remove it so Google won’t discover it again.
Alternatively, you can disallow bots from crawling these URLs from the robots.txt file at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Edit Robots.txt
User-Agent: *
Disallow: */target=*
Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your site to reflect the changes.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.

You can the screenshot i have taken for the url
the referring url is correct and it is working but /target=”_blank” is added at the end
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Upon checking your posts, there’s a hidden image with a link added as <a href="target="">
beside the author’s name.
Here’s the screenshot for your reference: https://i.rankmath.com/i/mNyofz
In this case, we recommend getting in touch with your theme provider to remove those or the plugin you are using to show the author details.
Once it is removed, Google will stop crawling those URLs detected in your posts.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the help.I will look into this.
But there are still some URL’s which are geenrating the /1000 or //1000 at the end. I am unable to trace them
Hello,
Please share the specific URLs with us so we can investigate this further for you.
Looking forward to helping you.
thank you.
Please any update on this?
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
The URL is redirecting to the version with only /1000.
You should inspect this URL: https://simply.coach/blog/legal-requirements-of-life-coaching/1000 in your Google Search Console account and see the referring page.
Once you know their referring page, you can remove or update the URL so Google won’t discover those kinds of URLs.
Hope that helps.
Hello,
Those are spam URLs referred to by the spam sites. You should add the following rule to your robots.txt file to prevent Google from crawling them:
Disallow: */1000*
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
