- Under each post type & taxonomies, ensure that the Include in HTML Sitemap option is enabled for the post types you want to include.
- Click on the Save Changes button to save your settings.
Regarding the HTML sitemap page not displaying the sitemap as expected, please ensure that you have followed the correct steps to access and display the HTML sitemap:
- If you’ve selected the Page option, choose your page from the drop-down menu in Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings.
- If you’ve selected the Shortcode option, add the HTML sitemap shortcode to a post/page using a Shortcode block in your WordPress dashboard.
- Update/Publish your post/page to display the HTML sitemap.

1. Please note that the Exclude Terms option in the Sitemap Settings only works for your categories and tags, not for the post types. Also, you’ve to add the IDs of your categories and tags in this field. For more details, check this URL: https://rankmath.com/kb/configure-sitemaps/P#exclude-terms
However, if you want to remove the post-types from your sitemap, you can simply disable the Include in Sitemap option for the post-types from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap.
2. Please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:
i. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

ii. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
