Hello,
I apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with the “Uncategorized” label in Google search results for your site “mjddvictoria.nl.”
To address this issue, you can follow these steps:
- Check Rank Math Metabox:
- Open the post/page in the WordPress Editor.
- Click the Rank Math SEO icon in the top-right corner of the page to open the Rank Math Metabox.
- In the Rank Math Metabox, choose the Advanced Tab.
- If the Robots Meta is set with No Index, select the Index checkbox and update the page.

-
Ensure Global Settings:
- Check the global settings at WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Posts/Pages/Products/CPTs to ensure there is noindex set.
-
Check Search Engine Visibility:
- Make sure that the Discourage Search engines… option is not enabled at WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Reading.

After making these changes, you can request Google to recrawl your site by updating your sitemap in Google Search Console and choosing the Validate Fix option.
If you have already tried these steps and the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for reaching out!

Dear,
I did all of it:
Step 1: Uncheck the index box and save
Step 2: Checked if noindex is set
Step 3: Checked if the discourage search engines was not on.
I then re-uploaded the xml sitemap to the Google Search Console and it shows “Succes” in the row. (mjddvictoria.nl/sitemap.xml)
But it still shows “Uncategorized” in the search results…
Thank you so much if you can help me with this!!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Could you please confirm if you’re referring to the Uncategorized
in the sitelinks?

If so, please note that the sitelinks are currently automated by Google, and there’s nothing we can do from our side to enable or modify those on any website. Here’s the documentation from Google that you can follow to learn more about it: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/sitelinks
However, if you want, you can set the page to nofollow
too so that Google can’t crawl it and it should automatically remove the page from the sitelinks.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
