Hi!
Sometimes, when I share certain posts on Facebook, the thumbnail appears white.[See sensitive data section]
Also i try to set the same image in the Facebook Tab of Rank Math in the Post and i have the same result.
What Can I Do?

Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the Facebook thumbnail image appearing as plain white when sharing certain posts. This can happen due to various reasons related to image dimensions, formats, and configurations.
To address this issue, please ensure the following:
-
Image Dimensions & Format: Facebook supports jpeg, png, and gif image formats. The recommended image size for Facebook sharing is 1200px X 630px. If the image’s dimension is too small or too large compared to the recommended size, Facebook may not display it correctly. Please check if the image meets these requirements.
-
Rank Math Configuration: Make sure you have set the Open Graph/Social Preview image correctly using Rank Math. You can set a custom Open Graph image by uploading it through the Social tab in Rank Math, as shown in the screenshot below:
If you have already set the image in the Facebook Tab of Rank Math and are still facing the issue, please double-check the image dimensions and format.
If the issue persists after checking these aspects, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.
Warm regards.
Hello,
We have moved the content of your first post to the sensitive data section where only you and our support staff have access.
Please ensure that the image you’re using is as close as 1200 x 630 pixels, and the image file format you are using is only between jpeg, gif, or png as per Opengraph Standards:
https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-image-not-displaying/#num-4-2-image-dimensions-image-formatIf you don’t want to change the image size of the image, then you can upload the resized version under the Social tab (custom Opengraph image).
Once done, check again the URL using the Facebook Debugger tool:

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
The image has the specifications it should.
But I it doesn’t workthanks for your reply
any update?
Hello,
Apologies for the delay as the ticket you have shared seems to have been stuck in our drafts section for some reason.
The image is still not showing in the debugger tool with the new image.
For troubleshooting, could you please update the image file name (φωτης-λαυριωτης part) to the English alphabet instead of Greek?
Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again using the Facebook debugger tool.
Let us know how this goes.
maybe the greek letters in the file name was the problem
Hello,
We can see that the image is now showing on the debugger tool. This implies that the Greek filename might have been the issue.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
