    Hello,

I just switched over to Rank Math. When looking at my sitemap, none of the images from Elementor’s Pro Gallery are listed. Is there some setting I need to change?

  • Hello,

If you are not seeing images from Elementor’s Pro Gallery listed in your sitemap after switching to Rank Math, you may need to ensure that the Image SEO module is enabled in Rank Math. To do this, please head over to General Settings → Images from the Rank Math menu to access the Image SEO features.

If enabling the Image SEO module does not resolve the issue, please reach out to the Rank Math support team for further assistance by opening a support ticket here. They will be able to provide more specific guidance based on your website’s configuration.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.

Image option is enabled and I am still experiencing the issue.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We can see the images are actually added as a CSS background image to the <div> tag instead of actual images inside the default <img> tag. Please check the screenshot in the sensitive data section for reference.

Because of this, Rank Math is unable to detect the presence of images on the page (since they are actually not there, just as background images) and thus is also not able to correctly add them to your sitemap.

For Rank Math to recognize the images, they should be added using the <img> tag. Google and other search engines also do not parse background images. Please refer to the following guidelines by Google: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/guidelines/google-images#help-us-discover-all-your-images

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for the reply.

So is there any change I can make to my Elementor settings to get the images inside the default tag? Or is Rank Math just not compatible with the Elementor Pro Gallery?

    Hello,

If the Elementor Pro Gallery directly includes the images in your page content then Rank Math will be able to detect them. In this case, we suggest you get in touch with Elementor support as they’re in a better position to assist you with this one.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
