  • Hello. We apologize for the issue you are facing with the canonical URL generation for your latest Portuguese post.

To resolve this problem, you can manually set the correct canonical URL using Rank Math. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Edit the post “Bard agora é Gemini: o que mudou na maravilhosa IA da Google.”
    3. Look for the Rank Math meta box.
    4. Under the Advanced tab, you will find the Canonical URL field.
    5. Enter the correct canonical URL: https://rankmath.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Create-new-redirection.png
    6. Save your changes.

If you are unable to find the Advanced tab in the Rank Math meta box, please enable the Advanced mode by following these steps: Enable Advanced Mode.

After setting the correct canonical URL, refresh the page and try sharing the post again on Facebook. If the issue persists, please let us know, and we will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.

Hey, my bad. But I will leave it here, because it may serve others with a similar issue in the future. I was using a plugin that replaces strings in the rendered HTML. Meaning your plugin is super fine. No bugs related to this. What happened was that I used “the string” I wanted to see changed in the rendered HTML in this URL it was automatically changed when the URL was rendered in HTML. Hence the “bug”. But I deleted the command to replace the string and now it is working fine. So in the future, if something similar happens to someone, remember to check if you’re using the plugin “real-time Find-and-replace” because that plugin will change your canonicals too making you post unindexable and unsharable on social media for example, so be aware.

    Hello,

We are glad that you have already managed to resolve this issue.

Also, we appreciate you sharing the steps so other users can learn from this canonical issue with that plugin.

If you have any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime to assist you further.

    Looking forward to helping you.
