Hi,
I’m demoing Rank Math on our dev site and ran into a couple of issues:
1. I tried to import existing AIOSEO settings using the setup wizard. The import failed with an error. The import was nearly finished and failed at this point: Starting SEO score recalculation.
I was able to try the import one more time by reloading the wizard and it also failed with an error before the import was completed. This time, I continued the setup process using the step links at the top of the wizard (as the ‘continue” button was not available due to the import error). I completed the rest of the wizard without any issues. However, looking on individual posts and categories that had existing AIOSEO meta, I DO see that the meta has been imported (and looks like the correct AIOSEO settings that the post had).
Just so I understand how to handle this on my live site, could you let me know how RM handles such import errors? It seems like it will actually import the meta data up to the point it fails… is that correct?
BTW> The import AIOSEO data is no longer available on the setup wizard if I reload this so unable to try the import again and select fewer items to import and deselect the SEO score option.
2. We focus on categories and only use tags for internal organization (so they are not relevant for SEO). In the SEO meta on an individual post, I see there are entries for the tags used on that post. I have tags set to no-index in settings (both previously in AIOSEO and confirmed in RM). I do not want to display these tags in the post SEO meta. How do I stop them from being displayed?
For the categories meta, only one category is shown (article:section). Most posts have 3-4 categories and all posts are tagged with our main category (‘Business English’), which is the only category listed in the Rankmath SEO meta. How do I get the other categories to show up in the meta?
Here’s an example of the relevant section of the SEO meta that relates to this issue:

<meta property=”article:tag” content=”mLearning”>
<meta property=”article:section” content=”Business English”>What I’m trying to achieve, should look like this for this example (basically just displaying the 4 categories this post has):
<meta property=”article:section” content=”Business English”>
<meta property=”article:section” content=”Business English Vocabulary”>
<meta property=”article:section” content=”Business Idioms”>
<meta property=”article:section” content=”ESL Podcast”>It looks like a great plugin and planing to buy a clines, just want to understand how I can overcome these issue before trying on my live site.
BTW> I have temporarily deactivated Rank math on my dev site as a precaution. I can reactivate it for you if needed.
