  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with verifying your Google Ownership using the HTML file method. This error can occur due to various reasons, such as incorrect placement of the verification file or caching issues.

To resolve this, please ensure that you have correctly placed the verification file in the root directory of your website. Additionally, if you are using a content delivery network (CDN) like Cloudflare, it’s important to ensure that the robots.txt file is accessible at the correct location.

If you’re still encountering issues after following these steps, please provide us with more details about your setup and any specific error messages you’re receiving. This will help us assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we’ll do our best to help you resolve this issue.

Solved it. Didn’t realize I literally had to put the html file in root folder. I think that could be slightly clearly on in your instructions (which I generally fantastic). Thank you.
