  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your sitemap in Google Search Console. If you’ve submitted your sitemap in GSC and it doesn’t show separate category, post, and page site details, this could be due to a few reasons.

Firstly, ensure that you have submitted the correct XML sitemap to Google. You should submit the sitemap available on your website at https://rankmath.local/sitemap_index.xml

If you are sure you submitted the correct URL, but you are still facing this issue, you can check for a plugin conflict using the Health Check plugin. This can help identify if there are any conflicts with other plugins affecting the sitemap.

Additionally, if you are running W3 Total Cache along with Rank Math on your website, you can create another user agent group and add the ‘googlebot’ user agent to it.

If these solutions don’t resolve the issue, you can include a filter in your theme’s functions.php or rank-math.php file:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

These steps should help resolve the issue with your sitemap in Google Search Console. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out to us. We’re here to help 24/7, 365 days a year.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please note that Rank Math generates your sitemap at /sitemap_index.xml and when you submit it on your GSC, Google automatically crawls your sub-sitemaps. You can click on your main sitemap to see all the other sub-sitemaps:

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Please note that when you submit your sitemap on GSC, it takes some time to fully crawl and process your sitemap. During this time, you may see your sub-sitemaps blank.

In case, you’ve been facing this issue for a long time then you can remove all your submitted sitemaps and resubmit your /sitemap_index.xml only to your Google Search Console.

Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your sitemaps. You can monitor the “Last read/crawl date” column in the sitemap index as it will update the date when Google crawls your sitemap.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I have added but it shows no discovered pages, so I added one by one as in screenshot is it ok now?

    ss

    Hello,

Adding just the main sitemap is enough, so you only need to add the ?sitemap=1 URL but adding the sub-sitemaps is also fine – it does not break any rule.

Also, the zero-discovered URL is not something to worry about. If Google is already aware of some of the URLs in your sitemap it would not include it in the discovered list but it would still crawl and index it as usual.

As long as your URLs are getting indexed, you’re good to go.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math
