Sitemap includes URLs with (301-)redirects - Support

Hi there,

I really love RankMath and I use it for all my Projects and customers. One of my customers has a really huge content-hub, there are some old blog-posts which were merged with others, so we have a lot of 301-Redirects. I tried to find a way to exclude URLs with a redirect but I
couldn´t find a setting. Can you please help me? How can I generate a Sitemap with only Statuscode 200 URLs?

We appreciate your support for Rank Math and we’re glad to hear that you’re using it for your projects and customers. Regarding your concern about generating a sitemap with only Statuscode 200 URLs, Rank Math automatically includes all URLs in the sitemap, including those with 301 redirects.

To exclude URLs with redirects from the sitemap, you can use the “noindex” tag on the redirected pages. This will prevent these pages from appearing in search results and subsequently in the sitemap.

If you still want to include the redirected URLs in the sitemap, you can consider using canonical URLs instead of redirects. This will allow both versions of the page to be accessible but not appear in search results.
