Creating Exclusions on Punctuation in Titles

First of a, I am really loving Rank Math.

I have an issue though. I run a film site (moriareviews.com). It is important that thee title reflect exactly what is seen on screen. However, whenever I include a comma, a semicolon or full colon in the title, it will not register this and say “Focus Word not found in the title.” WordPress routinely weeds these and full stops out when it goes to create the slug and RankMath follows suit when it comes to these. Is it not possible for RankMath to amend the exclusions to include other punctuation like this?

    Regards

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

Our plugin looks for the exact match of the focus keyword in the content and the metadata. If you add a comma or some other symbol, it will not detect the keyword. We are working on improving this. For now, you can ignore the test, as Google and other search engines will be able to detect the keyword even if our plugin doesn’t.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
