Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience you’re facing with the indexing of your images after switching to Rank Math from Yoast. It’s great that you’ve noticed this issue and are looking to address it.
To address the issue of the images being set to index, you can use the bulk actions feature in Rank Math to set them to noindex. Here’s how you can do it:
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to the Posts menu.
- From the Rank Math filter that appears on the top-right of the screen, select “Articles Noindexed” and click the “Filter” option.

- You will now see all the posts that have been set with a NoIndex value. Select the checkbox next to the title of each post.

- From the bulk actions drop-down, choose “Set to NoIndex” and then click “Apply.”

This will change the noindex value for all of those posts to NoIndex.
If you have any further questions or need assistance with this process, feel free to reach out to our dedicated support team here. We’re here 24/7, 365 days a year to help you.
We hope this helps!

These are media files and not posts. I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly before proceeding and changing anything.
If I go to a picture and go under rank math seo tab and click on advanced and change it to no index, is this the preferred way? I just want to make sure that I am no de indexing the actual image itself?
Also, if this is the preferred way, is there a bulk way to do this as I have roughly 200 or some images to do this to. Thanks.
Hello,
When you edit a media file, the editor opens its attachment page. So you are setting the attachment page as Noindex, not the actual image or media file. There is no option to do this in bulk. However, since you don’t want the attachment pages to be indexed, we recommend enabling the Redirect Attachments option in WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > General Settings > Links to redirect the attachments to their parent post.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
