Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with your website’s sitemap. It’s important to ensure that your sitemap is correctly configured and accessible to Google.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can follow these steps:
-
Check the last crawl date in Google Search Console to ensure that Google has seen the updated sitemap. If the last crawl date is not after you published the post, you may need to wait for Google to crawl the sitemap.
-
Validate your sitemap using the Validate XML Sitemap tool to confirm that it is correctly configured.
-
Ensure that your sitemap is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation.
-
Check if your sitemap is accessible using the httpstatus.io tool to identify any issues preventing your sitemap from being accessed by Googlebot.
If you have manually created the sitemap, ensure it is installed in the root folder of your WordPress installation. That means there should only be one forward slash between your domain name and sitemap path.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our support team, who are available 24×7 and will help you out as soon as possible.
We hope this helps resolve the issue you’re facing with your website’s sitemap.

Validate Sitemap its normal and check through this httpstatus.io also shown no error fine but sitemap not working also how to check sitemap is in root folder of server
Hello,
Kindly ignore the step about the sitemap file in the root folder of the server.
We checked your sitemap and it seems to be loading just fine.
Please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
3. Remove all your sitemaps from your GSC and re-submit just the sitemap index (https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml
)
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

Hello,
We just checked your website again and we can see that your sitemap is working and displaying properly as it should. Your most recent post (yesterday) is also showing – this indicates that there’s nothing wrong with your sitemap.

If the problem here is with the number of discovered URLs, then you can try removing your sitemap and adding an alternate version, https://example.com/?sitemap=1
, this should reset the number of discovered URLs.
If you’re worried about something else, then please let us know so we can help investigate this issue.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Guide me which version i can use which is supported in rank math
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
We recommend submitting your main sitemap index only as Google will use it to crawl your sub-sitemaps:
https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
You may follow the same and give Google some time to recrawl your sitemaps.
Looking forward to helping you.
